Collection: Chypre

Chypre (pronounced sheep-ruh) is French for the island of Cyprus. In perfumery, it refers to a fragrance family built on a classic, contrasting structure of fresh citrus, rich florals, and an earthy, mossy base.

Typically, a true chypre is defined by an architecture of specific foundational notes rather than a single ingredient:
Top Note: Bright, crisp citrus, usually bergamot.
Heart Note: Rich florals, such as rose or jasmine.
Base Note: Deep, earthy, and resinous components, specifically oakmoss, cistus labdanum (a sticky resin), and patchouli.
