Rathbornes was founded by the Rathborne family in Dublin with history dating all the way back to 1488. Their candles used to light up the streets in Dublin and burn in the churches. It’s lived through centuries of change, famine and fortune. Each candle today is hand-poured in their Dublin studio using proprietary natural wax blend. The sustainably sourced Irish beeswax supports the local beekeepers as well as preserving traditional craft. 

Rathbornes 1488 fragrances are inspired by the Irish landscape using scents that capture the essence of the land itself, embodying the spirit of the surrounding nature such as the wild rose, honeysuckle and sea air.
