Carduus | Jorum Studio
A dry, herbal, incense-smoked fragrance inspired by the Scottish thistle with anise, cocoa and cedar over a bed of dried herbs.
Carduus opens with a tingling blast of chamomile, Bengal pepper and honey, drying down into an unusual anise-and-incense combination that reviewers consistently call one of Jorum’s longest-lasting compositions. Named for the thistle, Scotland’s national flower.
Part of Progressive Botany Vol.1 collection by Jorum Studio, Carduus takes its proud spot in Modern British Masters collection at dot for its creativity.

Story
Story
'Nemo me impune lacessit' – the Order of the Thistle. The defiant motto of Scotland, an ancestral virtue. Carduus assaults with a potent crash of warm gustatory herbs, tingling seeds and defensive leaves. This dry herbal bouquet prevails over medicinal botanicals, ardent barks and bruised molecules. The resulting effect conjures images of untold ceremony and ritual. The fragrance flirts with tradition; aged herbs and spices blended alchemically. This romantic brew is woven with bundles of complex flower essences and fermented leaves before revealing sweet confections and pounded roots.
