Ormonde Jayne
Xi’an
Xi’an
A meditative, hypnotic woody scent, part of the La Route de la Soie collection marking the house’s 20th anniversary.
Xi’an is stillness in a bottle. Named for the ancient Chinese city that marked the start of the Silk Road, it opens with black pepper and nutmeg before settling into cedarwood, rhubarb, and warm sandalwood. This is a fragrance built for slowing down.
We’ve placed this in Modern British Masters for anyone looking for a quieter, more contemplative fragrance, the sort you reach for before meditation or a long flight.

Story
Story
Launched in 2020 as part of the seven-fragrance La Route de la Soie collection, Xi’an was designed as a “route to tranquility”, deliberately calm and centred, unlike much of Ormonde Jayne’s more citrus-driven signature work.
